Finance & Insurance (F&I) Manager
Reports To: Store Manager
Compensation: 90,000-150,000 Salary depends on experience plus Performance Bonus
Position Summary
The Finance & Insurance (F&I) Manager plays a critical role in delivering an exceptional customer experience while maximizing dealership profitability through ethical, compliant, and customer focused financing solutions. As a member of the dealership leadership team, the F&I Manager works hand in hand with the sales team every day to help customers find the right vehicle, overcome obstacles in the buying process, and successfully complete their purchase. This position also provides leadership support by assisting the Sales Manager with daily sales operations when needed.
Primary Responsibilities
Present finance, lease, warranty, and protection product options to every customer.
Secure financing and lease approvals through lender partnerships.
Prepare and finalize all finance and purchase documentation accurately and efficiently.
Ensure every deal meets dealership, lender, and regulatory compliance standards.
Work alongside the sales team to structure deals and help customers say "yes."
Assist sales consultants in overcoming financing and purchase objections.
Provide leadership support and serve as a backup to the Sales Manager during absences or high volume periods.
Achieve dealership goals for finance income, product penetration, customer satisfaction, and vehicle sales.
Build strong relationships with lenders and product providers.
Maintain complete and accurate deal jackets and funding documentation.
Stay current on lender programs, manufacturer incentives, and compliance requirements.
Participate in ongoing sales, finance, and leadership training.
Qualifications
Previous automotive F&I experience preferred.
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Knowledge of automotive financing, leasing, and aftermarket products.
Ability to coach and support a sales team.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
High ethical standards and commitment to compliance.
Valid driver's license.
